Wisdom teeth

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last teeth to appear, generally between the ages of 18-24.
Some people may not have enough space in their mouth to fit properly, so appear partially cut into the gum. This is known as Impacted Wisdom Teeth.

Although initially they may not cause problems, eventually appear difficulties to open the mouth or to swallow.

Some of the most common causes when wisdom teeth are affected are:

An infected wisdom tooth can cause serious medical problems, so it’s important to contact your dentist as soon as possible.
Before removal of the tooth, the infection around it surely needs to be cleaned with pain relievers and/or antibiotics.

Of course we are quite conservative about any tooth extraction, and we have to be very sure with an X-ray plate before making the final decision to remove them or not.
